If the big 3 wanted to get a SRW truck into the realm of the DRW they would go to 19.5” wheels and tires which are what lots of MH’s run along with F-450’s and F-550’s. I would have ordered them as an option on my DRW Ford if offered. Here is an example Michelin 245/70R19.5 rated for 4960 lbs in single tire. That is an H rated tire and would be good for a combined 9940 lbs for your front or rear end and with all four tires rated at A combined 19,880 lbs for the rubber alone.
It could easily be done. An aftermarket company named Rickson made 19.5” forged aluminum rims to fit the axle bolt pattern back in the old 1999 and up Superduties. Some people were buying DRW trucks and then the Rickson wheels to get away from DRW’s.
