Van,
I have a Champion dual fuel that supposedly weighs 110lbs. I travel with it in the back of the truck and at 76 years old can still lift it out ok.

I followed a fiver out of the camp ground one time with a bike rack and two bikes on a real carrier. The place had speed bumps about every hundred feet and even though he was doing about 5mph and slowed down even more on the speed bumps the bikes were still bouncing all over the place. I decided right then and there never to use a rear carrier. It's just like a diving board back there. Every little bump is magnified 10x.
