There are weak links everywhere. You hear similar stories from owners of all brands. Have a very good toolbox. Technicians don't have much good to say about any slide system. I hold my breath every time I operate the slides. I recommend that all owners learn as much about how to maintain and repair their slide system as possible, because when they fail in the open position, you have a show stopper.
