Even the 9 year old tires still looked new when I replaced them although they only had about 17,000 miles on them. Michelin says inspect yearly at 5 years and replace at 10. Never a flat, never even a low tire. Added 2-4 lbs air at start of each season. A lot of people ran them until the Montanas got too heavy.

Just another option.

I second this. My first 2006 Monty tires gave out in 09 or 10, I think. Put on new Michelin. Ran them until about 2013, when I got another set. Got new trailer in 2014 and actually swapped tires and rims to new Mountaineer. Replaced them after 5 or 6 years which more Michelin. I think I get 45K on them which is about 5-6 years.
Had one problem a few years ago. Got a bolt jabbed into one and TPMS caught it about 1 minute after I pulled onto the interstate. Noticed tires wearing so got new ones and aligned the axles. Kind of pricey tho. My new ones for the truck are $320 a piece I think.
