Whoever does the work, have them measure the hangers for proper alignment. Mine had to be cut off and welded back in place at the proper location. If they are off more than just a small amount, it will cause unusual wear like this and excessive torque on the hangers when turning. You should be able to get the correct measurements for your trailer from Lippert. They have a diagram showing the trailer with measurements from the front of trailer to each hanger that you can verify they are spaced correctly and square to the trailer.
