Hopefully they can give you straight answers.

Myself, I do not know how a tire rated for 110 psi would function on a rim rated at 80 and the tire pressure was set to 80. But I agree, that much of a difference in tire pressure "seems" like it would affect the overall performance of the tire and cause an under inflation uneven tread and side-wall wear problem after a period of time.

Give them a call, see what they say. Report back what you find out and what your final decision is on the tires.
