On my previous camper the lock actually failed. I pulled the key out, but the tumblers did not unlock the door. We were over 300 miles from home, tired, and been driving all day. This wasn't fun.

Pulled into a KOA and got my handy-dandy tools out. Found a piece of wire. Fortunate, I'd earlier been watching YouTube videos on how to pick locks (had had to do that on a fire proof safe ... really!) So, I applied the same principles and after some jimmying around, it unlocked. I still do not know what I "really" did to get it to open. But we did not lock it back. We were back home the next day and I went straight to my RV dealership and picked up a new lock set.

But here's the incident that took me completely off guard. Get ready for a laugh:
