Update..
the DW and i just returned from our first trip...
the tpms on the f250 worked perfectly.. on monday when we were about ready to leave the tpms system warning system went off. i checked on the instrment panel and found that the FL tire was at 51 lbs. i double checked with my trusty digital checker and found the same reading.
