I'm surprised your bath does not have a fan installed at the factory. If it does, changing to a Maxxair should be easy; pull out the old one, put in the new one. If it does not, the job will be more challenging. I want to put one in our bedroom but have been unable to find a clear location between the roof joists. I thought about pulling down the ceiling panel and open everything up, but was told they are glued in place and would break apart; not to mention trying to put them back up. I had a shop look at it and they agreed, no good place to put it. Finally decided it is easier to open the tiny windows.

I used blue tape to mark the joists (I think they were 12" on center, but it's been awhile). I started by pulling out a speaker and feeling around for a joist and then marking them. You will have to make sure there are no AC ducts in the area. Also, get on the roof and look for vents. Finding 12V should not be too much of a problem. I was going to use a remote control fan.

Good Luck
