I believe most units are industry standard 14" enclosures. Ours had the small 4" fan in the opening in the bathroom. I pulled down the interior trim, then pulled up the Dicor and housing screws on top of the roof. After unwiring the small fan unit, the entire assembly was replaced with a 10 speed MaxxAir fan unit with hand held remote that I mounted by the door to the bathroom. This was the first upgrade made to our fiver. Hope this helps out some. If any other questions, let us know.
