It is my understanding you can but maybe not all brands. I would think brands made by the same Chinese company you could. Most of these are made by the same company. Example the HF Predator 3500 and the Champion 4500 are near identical units they have the same 212 CC engine the side covers are interchangeable. Someone might have a more definitive answer.
