Bob, that would possibly work but for me, I've disconnected my outside shower. The problem that keeps going through my mind is that the liquid that remains in a long 5/8" or 1" hose would freeze. There would be no way of emptying it unless you pumped air through it to get the moisture out. As I mentioned about emptying the sewer hose, you can pick it up and hold one end in the air until it's empty.
