I know this is an old topic, but a lot of the issues are covered. I tried this method today to avoid dragging the Monty out of the storage lot just to put in 10 gallons of water so the toilet would have water in case it's needed for the 8 hour trip to the Mid Atlantic Rally.

SO my question is how long should this take?? It took me 30-45 minutes to pump it using the freeze guard port and the levers turned to freeze guard and power fill. It took awhile to get the flow started. That may have been the long hose I was using. I had a 10 gallon water cooler, used a 50' potable water hose. I added an extra washer in the Freeze guard port to make sure I had a tight connection. Even though the onboard pump is 3 gallons a minute, it didn't work that fast doing this fill.

Thoughts??
