Maybe I posted it somewhere else, but for me it has been easier to just keep it all here in this "Big Thread". The mods allow me to go back and edit the 1st post with links, in case someone wants links to all of the mods...

Yes, I believe they are Acacia wood. They do seem to soak up a lot of cutting board oil; I see they need another shot of it.
It's pretty quick and easy, likely an hour or so if you have your tools organized
