Make sure you have the proper tools
It is fairly easy to change out a frayed, or broken cable. YES, watch the BAL video...it is a very good tool. But speaking of tools, also make sure you have a good wire rope cutter, AND the right size crimper for the ferrel. Home Depot (on-line ONLY) has one of the best prices on the BAL Cable replacement kit: $27.64
