Also, your heat electric setting is the heat pump on your AC unit. The heat gas setting is your furnace. Just different terminology. I'm guessing you have the Coleman units where ours is the Dometic. I have been told that the newer units can run both simultaneously which seems like it would be very nice at times. On my 2019, heat pump and furnace are mutually exclusive. Also, with mine, the main thermostat in the kitchen is the only one capable of heat, electric or gas. The bedroom thermostat does nothing at all for heat, only AC.
