You just have to pick what’s most important to YOU. Neither is perfect, you always must be diligent when backing the short bed no mater what hitch or nose configuration you have. Parking a long bed at the back of the lot doesn’t always work either, some small businesses, doctor’s offices, etc. have very limited parking. I have spent over 10 years towing with both and am currently happy with my short bed. Doesn’t mean that’s right for YOU!
