We are both retired. We are in no hurry to be anywhere. We might do 300 miles a day or we might do 150 miles a day. We use the RV plus card and we have the TSD card. We can get 40 gallons of diesel in our 08 F-350 tank and that is plenty. We are 1100 miles from our winter lot in Florida and it takes us @ 4 1/2 days to get there so that is how much of a hurry we are. We both drive the rig and that makes any trip easier.

We both worked many years to be able to travel as we do. We seldom make advance reservations at a CG at about 4 of 5PM on a travel day Helen gets on the internet looking for a CG then on the phone for a place to stay. If we are going to stay in a area for a few days or longer we do make advance reservations but many times we have no idea were we might end up for the day.

On one trip we found out there was a volcano in New Mexico, It is a cinder cone volcano in Capulin new Mexico. Helen gave me a heading got on the phone and got a CG in Capulin New Mexico population @ 70 more or less with the Volcano framed in our rear window. We stayed about a week. there were like 3 RVs in the CG
