First, if you have 10K miles on these tires, and need to go 2K to finish the trip, I'd say you are in good shape. The tread in the photos shows very little wear except the one edge, but it is still in good shape. Plenty of meat left, and minimal wear in the sipes part of the tread.
With 10K on these tires, yours are wearing better than most of us experience!
