Awning was total loss. Both lower arm bracketry snapped off and twisted, fabric was dry rotted. Gentlemen contacted his insurance agent who stated to cut everything loose and insurance would stand up for replacement. Does rather drive home the need to be smart with our awnings. Just glad the folks didn't have any further damages.
