However they do have a Battery management system (BMS) built in to shut them down for Overtemp conditions and SOME also shut of charging when battery is at below freezing temps. There are also some that offer an internal heater build inside making below it possible to continue charging in freezing weather.
The lithium battery is still able to suppley power when below freezing but the charging needs to stop.

Thanks for that data, very informative. It also confirms my opinion that I will not get Lith's until the price comes way down and they are as easy to use as 'standard' batteries.
