And that might be the difference between our observations. I have been told (and I haven't ever verified) that the fuel used for the re-gen process is *NOT* counted in the MPG calculation. With your infrequent re-gens (I consistently re-genned every 100-125 miles when towing) you could have done the measurements when there were no re-gens occurring. I would then expect the numbers to match closely.
But I have the numbers for 65K miles (spread sheets are wonderful) and there is a significant difference.
