9b. DINING - shelves beside table
I love the shelf and cabinet that Montana puts in the dining area. But it doesn't have any storage, which would be really convenient. By adding shelves to either side, storage is added without losing any space.
I started by making a frame using some 3" trim, ripped into 1 1/2" pieces. Then, I attached 1/4" plywood strips to the inside of the frame and to the wall.
Next, I cut some pieces of 1/8" white wallboard to use as the shelves.
Then, some 1x8" pine shelving was stained and installed as the tops.
Finally, to use as storage, I found some fabric drawer organizers on Amazon that were the perfect size. Link
