Pulled the covers off the floor vents today and vacuumed them out. You can't believe the amount of crap that builds up in those, particularly the one at the end of the island counter. Of course we have cats so they manage to get food, fur and litter down there somehow, but there was plenty of people stuff and just dirt off our shoes down there as well. I do it before I start using the furnace and a couple of times during the winter to try and keep stuff out of the ductwork and the furnace.
