Thanks for the reply Mike. We have done all that you suggest. However, it seems we are having real problems with air in the lines. Since we drained the WH, the water coming out of the faucet is spitting and shooting and generally being ugly. The WH is making funky sounds when we open the faucet on cold water as well. Tend to make us believe the WH isn't actually being bypassed. Any thoughts on why that is happening and how to make it stop?
