I had the same issue. Check previous posts. Your sensor is in the front bedroom by the closet. Remove cover and hold onto the bulb. Have your partner watch the thermostat and monitor the front bedroom temp. If it rises and the ac does not start the sensor is not the issue. The problem will likely end up being the rear control board in the rear ac unit. By the time the tech had finished in my unit, he replace the sensor, front control board, thermostat, and finally the rear control board. When it was finally sorted out it was September and only two days needed for ac. Hope it works this spring.
Note you may also have an issue will the cold air blowing on the sensor and turning off the unit before the room is cool.
