Everybody's driving styles vary. With 88K miles I'm still running the original brakes on my 2006 Montana 3000RK. Got a great deal on 4 backing plate brake assemblies probably 10 years ago and they have been in my garage or the belly of the 5'er ever since. I inspect the originals every year and will replace when needed, but with most the 88K miles being highway or rural the brakes just don't get used much. Rohrman makes a great point about having both faces of the drums turned. The local shop that use to do both faces is out of business so I need to search out a new shop or just buy new drums when the time comes to replace.
