Ok I'm going to go full on redneck here.....no offense to my fellow RN's You could cover the hole with a small piece of plywood, get a tarp and cut it narrow like 12' long by 4' wide and just use duct tape? The tape should should hold for a week or two and not be that hard to remove. I got all that in inventory.
