Many years ago hail busted out all 3 of the ceiling vents on my previous travel trailer. And yes, it rained.
For a temporary fix, I just laid strip after strip after strip of Duck Tape across the opening overlapping itself until I made a complete cover. I did not run the tap on the roof, I used the sides of the existing aluminum frame from the vent covers and taped to it. It worked well. We had several more rains before I was able to get replacements and everything stayed dry inside. To remove, I simply pulled the tape off and it was ready to install the new covers. Easy Peasy. But a little time consuming and about 3 rolls of Duck Tape.
