These are the ones you remember. Many years ago we were trying to get into a boondocking spot in Idaho with a 24' bumper pull, five of us and a dog. The road was muddy and I had no business trying it, but the wife said "you can't make it in there". Challenge accepted. Came to an off-camber spot and the trailer slide down hill; within an inch or so of big trees. We tried for awhile but no way was anything moving that evening. We slept in a trailer tilted at a steep angle. The funniest part was the dog (80lb Lab); he would lay on the floor and slide to the downhill side of the trailer; get up and do it again. Next day, winching, cutting brush, digging trenches (to keep trailer from sliding) we got everything out and down to the campsite. So hot, everyone just jumped in the river. Now, how to get it out? Had to chainsaw brush to be able to turn around. I sent everyone up the hill and nailed it; made it out. Not funny then, but we sure laugh about it now.

Our first rig was an 8' cab-over pick up camper on a super-cab pickup; five of us and a dog
