we had the cantilevered table and didn't like it. It sagged badly and wasn't level and you would bang your knees on the bracket underneath all the time. The cabinet it is attached to is also the enclosure for the out door TV. I did not try to remove that on ours. We replaced it with a drop leaf table.
I would make a deal with you but the table is in NY and I'm in SC now.
