My fifth wheel over hang has made contact with my truck bed rails only once (that I am fully aware of) and it was a hard enough hit it made a crack in my front cap. I fixed it myself as it was cosmetic.
However .... not my "bed" but my "head" has made contact many times! Ever time I come back into the camper with a new bang on my head, the wife laughs now and simply says ... "Looks like you lost some more brain cells, didn't you!"
