I have used the flex seal in another application that would be comparable to you shower fix, I used the spray flex shot. The main issue is making sure the area is clean and dry. Use something like rubbing alcohol to clean the area, the make sure it is completely dry and then apply the flex shot following directions. Another way which would be effective but a little cosmetically unsightly would be to use some 80 grit sandpaper and rough the area up and clean it then mix and apply JB WELD epoxy, it will be grayish/black but will hold either way should last until you can get it in somewhere, JB Weld may last forever lol.
