I really don’t see trying to eliminate air pollution as nonsense. And I am far from a tree hugger.

Typical California city exhaust smog and one of many Texas refineries putting out pollutants. And not limited to those locations. I live 30 miles north of Dallas and we frequently get air quality alerts.
