Well I am not going to worry about it anymore since the problem is fixed,
I could not do your solution even if I wanted to since my wife has every square inch of the top molding cover with nicnacs. "don't get me started" they would all come tumbling down like humpty dumpty.
PS: I am going to remove 3 cans and stick with 3, that is all I need since I have found the problem spots.
