We do live in a different county now from when we had no response on Simplisafe. I haven't checked with local sheriff's dept in our county, but I appreciate you sharing this with me. We should surely check with them before we make the decision! I didn't know that they might require a permit. The county we lived in previously didn't require that, but it would be worth the price of the permit as long as they respond!
