DC Fuze Panel Question
08 3400rl. I understand there are schematics to be found on the wiring and fuze locations. Does anyone know what the 4th fuze from the left might be? Prior owner noted on the back of the cover but I cannot make out what it says. It has blown and trying to figure out why. It has a red light lit up above the fuze. I changed out the blown one and light is still lit. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Unfortunately, the Old Worlds Craftsman doing the wiring do not provide any schematics. They may have a standard way of wiring but variations do occur. Figuring out what circuit is connected to each fuse (or circuit beaker) is an adventure left to the for the owner. There usually are scribbles that identify the circuit and sometimes they are illegible.
The red LED indicates a problem as you have figured out. Apparently the failed circuit is not something obvious you use regularly. By a process of elimination, figure out what the labels are on all the other circuits and try to determine what is missing. Be sure to try every 12V system you can think of. Porch light, scare lights, water heater, furnace, awning (if electric), all interior 12V lights, 12V lights in the pass through & front over batteries, etc.
You can try posting a picture here and maybe one of us will recognize it. There are a few 2008 era 3400 owners here that might be able to help with what theirs looks like.

Since the red light is on after you replaced the fuse, that new fuse must have immediately blown when you inserted it. That would indicate a dead short somewhere.
As Carl said, no schematics are available. Just a matter of finding out what is not working. My fuses were labeled from the factory. And it was hard to decipher those also. .

thx
Thank you both for replies. Interesting enough I wound up replacing the battery(we are on a seasonal site with constant ac power) last week. While not there the fridge stopped working, did not go over to propane. I assume there has to be 12v to fridge for the controls to work. So then fridge stopped running. We will be at the camper tomorrow so have some checking to do. I am wondering if the power converter is the culprit. Love chasing phantoms!

The refer requires 12V regardless of operational mode.
The converter is unlikely the cause of a blown fuse. It and the battery (assuming it/they are healthy) provide 12V in concert. Even is the converter quit working you should have 12V to run those devices (and blow the fuse). The difference is whether you measure 12.4V or 13.6V on the 12V system connection points.

The fuse is blown because there is a problem between the fuse and the problem on that circuit. The converter is not the problem.

Rohrmann: just for giggles, what do you (as a 3400 owner) have connected to the 4th from the left point on the fuse panel.

I should be back to the rig tomorrow afternoon, and will look then. His problem with the fridge could be where the problem is, maybe a critter was chewing on that wire.

The fourth fuse position from the left, #4 position, shows ODS (opposite door side), which should be outside light on the drivers side of the rig. If that is the same as the rig with the blown fuse, maybe the scare light is full of water, and that is causing the fuse to blow. I rotated the photo of our panel so it could be easier to read. The top fuse in #1 position is on the left, so the #4 fuse is fourth from the left.

Final results
Thx again everyone. I believe the real issue is the 110 breaker feeding the converter was off! It is not marked/labeled! It is now!! All seems good now.
