We're currently in the SoCal Inland Empire with temps in the mid 100's on a daily basis. We've endured several days where the AC's were just barely keeping indoor temps in the mid 80's. This is even with the rig pointing east with awnings shading all the south side windows and a sun shade covering the rear the for the afternoon sun. Even with all the windows shaded the glass itself was too hot to hold your hand against for more than a few seconds.

So I decided to do some experimentation with some extra Reflectix that I had on hand. The difference was remarkable so yesterday I picked up a big roll and slid it under all the sun shades covering the entire glass.

As I'm writing this it's 105° outside in the shade and the glass is actually cool to the touch. AC's are set at, and holding at 77° at 14:00 hrs.

I have just recently bought the reflectix and waiting again to get the RV back from the shop to install it on our windows as well hoping this will help the cooling situation

Yes we just bought a free standing unit and going to install as soon as it gets back from repair again

If installing a 3rd AC, should you use a low-profile unit? Seems like a standard profile unit might increase your overall height by an inch or two. We have a 2017 3811MS. Second question, has anyone tried any type of solar film on the front cap window models to reduce heat - without having to keep the window blocked off with the silver reflective insulation stuff? Of course, if we keep that shade open, I will have to clean off the bug splats much more often.

I checked with my dealer and they checked with Keystone/Montana....Apparently the listed height on the specs is the max height if fully equipped with a 3rd ac.
