I'm glad you brought that issue up. Totally agree with you, The knowledge and friendliness on this group is awesome. I have tons of machinal knowledge including aircraft mechanic license and would be lost with out the help from these members. Thanks.

Buy another Montana

After purchased when we got home ceiling trim over the tv and kitchen area was down and the rear shade was on the floor. Next the front seals on the jacks started leaking, next the trim over the outside awnings tore away and shades fell again, next the bedroom shade failed and fell. Nothing major accept the microwave came lose and was about to fall but caught that in time to fix. Little things but nothing major so far. We love the layout and all the comforts but for the money it has been an adventure. Thank God we have a GREAT dealer that has been very helpful (Country RV in Mesa, AZ). I'm pretty sure this is our last RV due to age (76) but we have seen a lot of what America has to offer!! I would look at Alliance and Brinkley's if we ever bought another RV. WE do like our Montana but I think the dealer has a lot to do with it!!!!!

If Keystone had better quality control this wouldn't be an issue. BUT you are correct! The dealership will make or break the experience! The sole reason I've bought 2 Keystone products! Develop a relationship with your Sales Manager, Service Manager and service writer and they will treat you great. I'm fortunate enough to be close to my dealership where I can stop by and drop off cookies and crap to buy some love.

I know the thread is old, but I had a Montana HC 325Rl, then a 2017 3820FK. We just put a deposit on a 2024 3123RL. I was almost ready to go with an Alliance Paradigm, but we found leaking Pex fittings in the wet bay and it was leaking RV Antifreeze. My 3820 FK had Flex Frame issues and Keystone fixed it 3 years out of warranty at no cost. They stood behind the product, so we figured we'd go for another Monty.

I had leak in my slide. Still under 3 year warranty. They claimed I had not done each 90 day inspection on top of slide. Claimed leak was where a screw had backed out resealed and still leaked. Finally found they had not sealed one of the awning screws. They refused to repair.

I would absolutely buy a Montana again! The same problems (if not worse) with Alliance Paradigm according to my dealer.

Yes, depending on floor plan, and price compared to some of the other brands mentioned.

That`s no excuse........availability was the issue with manufacturing not quality.

Im Glad your 2015 has been good... Ours is a 2015 3610rl Legacy..NOTHING but problems... Mostly slides and the 2 piece black tank... Broke bolt at the rear spring hanger.. Other stuff is Refer not lighting.. molding dropping , fan coming down... I can live with this.. but not the slides and springs...

I didn't say it was an excuse, it's just a fact be it the manufacture or the builder. The covid hanger over still lingers.

Ours is a 2019 model, but we bought it in October, before Covid hit the US. Covid did affect us with parts/repairs after purchase, but when our rig was built, Covid had never been heard of yet.

We have a '19 3700LK and love it, would we buy another Monty? IDK to be honest, every manufacture has issues with their RV's, from a 5k travel trailer to a multi million dollar motor coach, I've heard and seen issues at all levels. I think at this point in the RV world, someone needs to make a fiver that knocks my socks off, every manufacture has the same floor plans with some differences here and there, some one needs to come up with something off the charts and that no one expected, until then, we're good with our Monty right now

Short Answer is YES
Had some issues, but most of mine was stuff you can't blame on Montane (Leaky toilet, stero broke, vent cover motors quit, etc)

Riverstones are beautiful rigs, I've seen a few that just made us go 'WOW' (not LUXE wow, but still never the less when we walked in). We've seen a few Brinkley's in person, and they were nice units as well, but at the end of the day, the floorplans are all the same.
