Fresh Water hook up

I wanted to know if there was something else I needed to do once I hooked the hose up to the fresh water valve in the campground. Water is leaking out on the back side of the hook up like the water will not go through. Is there a switch that needs to be changes somewhere to allow it to go in the camper. 2006 Keystone Montana

No switch in a 2006 Montana. If the washer in the female connector is not leaking out the front, then you need to access the back side of the coupler.

I believe the water connection on a 2006 is in the left rear corner along with the fresh water tank fill. You can remove the whole panel with the two connections. You can also access the back side from inside the RV if I remember. There is a carpeted piece at the drivers side rear corner. Undo the screws holding it down and you will see the water connections.

If it's similar to the 2006 Cougar we used to have, there is a spring loaded check valve in the connector on the camper. I've seen those break and the valve will plug the hole not allowing water to go thru. One time we just removed the valve all together so the person could have water for the weekend.

I missed the part that water is not going into the tank. I thought it was working but leaking. As ScottnSue wrote, the spring loaded check valve is likely hung up.
