According to the folks that responded about the price, let's just say .... yes, the cost of materials for the installer may be only $500-$1000 and they may charge $13,000 for the total price for the job. Well.... consider this:
I recently had my dually truck repaired. Actually, it was several minor things, but things I could not do myself. Whel all was said and done, the total bill came to $2500 (yikes, a bit of a bite), but it all needed to be done.
Now, on the invoice, the cost of materials did not total more than $250. The rest of the cost was labor!
Folks seem to forget that when someone else does a job for you, you are not only paying for the actual item, or replacement item, but you are also paying for their TIME and experience to do the work. That's where the REAL cost is at.
