Roof Cleaning

I've seen a ton of posts on what cleaner to use, but what is better to use, a sponge mop style, a soft car brush, microfiber, etc. something that won't tear it. thanks

Car brush, but the wand is a 10 foot painter's wand that telescopes and the brush is actually an RV brush ... very soft, very plush bristles. I can unscrew the brush and use it by hand and the wand collapses down to about 5 feet in length.

When not using it for washing, it's a great brush to sweep off leaves and stuff from the top of the slides before retracting them.

I use it on the vehicles, the camper, even the side of the house. I've had it for over 25 years and won't part with it for anything.

Remember when doing the roof, all that water and soap is going to run down the sides, and dish soap will remove your polish/wax.

yeah, we had one on the roof and one hosing downs the sides, back and front at the same time to keep that mess off of them.

I’ve tried brush and cleaners. Dawn soap lots of other stuff. For 6 years now I use warm water in my pressure washer. If you are smart about it and watch what you’re doing it’s a 20 minute job on a 41’ roof. Don’t get too close. 4-6”” is close enough. Do not peal the caulking out of all the edges and cut outs. I’ll never go back to a long afternoon on the roof. It takes longer to get the pressure washer out of the garage than it does to clean the roof. See the photos attached taken during the cleaning.
The sides do not get all dirty either. But I wash it anyway once done.

Looks good, nice job. We were done in about 30 minutes from start to finish, we just the cleaner do the work, then rinsed it off with water.
