Washer/Dryer recommendations?
I'm retiring in January and my wife and I plan to spend lots of time on the road. I'm thinking I might get her a very un-romantic Christmas gift of a washer/dryer for the RV and I'm looking for any recommendations.
Considerations include:
- Cost
- Ease of installation
- Effective use (does it work well)
- Availability
- Does it travel well?
- Will it last?

We bought a Splendide combo unit. If you do a large load it will wrinkle, if you keep the loads medium/smaller it is awesome. Takes longer to do a load due to a combo, but saves space and when we do sheets etc we go to the laundry. My DW is happy with it.

Splendide for sure, we've had three. The two separate units work much better than a single unit that washes and dries. The D/W will love it.

DW really likes our splendide washer and dryer. I watched videos about the install. The hardest part for me was going to be cutting the hole for the dryer vent. DW STRONGLY ENCOURAGED me to pay someone to do the install rather than do it myself. She knows my skill level all too well. I think I paid an RV Service shop $250 to do the install. I bought the units from Camping World and had them delivered to my house. My son helped me load the boxed units into the RV. I took the RV to Auer’s RV service a few miles from my house (had an appointment) and dropped it off in the morning, then picked it up that afternoon.

Splendide vented combo for us also. Wife loved it. Still working great after 14 years when we sold the trailer.
We were sometimers. Got the combo as that’s all we had room for. Get the separate units (vented) if you have space available.

We have splendide combo has worked great for us. I would stay away from ventless model and stick to vented. just so you know you can't do big loads, as far as wrinkles you can use dryer balls which helps with that, doesn't eliminate wrinkles but it's not as bad.

We have the two separate Splendide units and they work fantastic. Going on 5 years old and still going strong.
