OUCH! Or How Not to end Vacation!!
Well Nancy and I were getting ready to leave Deasert Hot Springs on 3/21. Thank goodnes I had cleared off the Patio. Nancy had just got back into the 5'er when a gust of wind blew the Screendoor open. She leaned out and grabbed the Screendoor when a second gust caught it and pulled here out the opening. She fell from the floor level of the 2955RL and landed face first on the concrete Patio. She cracked her left shoulder socket in 3 places, severly dislocated her right elbow and split her upper lip. THANK GOD NO head injury or major face damage. She spent 13 days at Palm Sprins-Desert Reagional Medical Center. Would you believe the room was $2400 a DAY?? Our Insurance got a bargin only $1700 A DAY!! Now we know why that Pass has all those windmills. We flew her to Seattle last Wed. and I got right on the next flight back while my Daughter took her to her home. I got here today, 4/11. Drove 700 mi. yesterday. She had Emer. Surgery on Elbow that night, she fell and may need more here. Daryl
