What hitch?
2020 2500 GMC Denali with a puck system. I was told that the pullrite is out of stock and no expected arrival date. I found a 20K Curt with a slide and the puck adapter installed for $2200. Any other suggestions or recommendations?

B&W Companion here. Best hitch I've ever used.

I basically have your same truck. I just put in a Reese Goosebox, after having used an Anderson for the last year or so. I have nothing bad to say about the Anderson, but the new Goosebox is noticeably better in ride quality and no more having to install the hitch in the bed of my truck. I bought the 20,000lb rated model, with the spacer kit and safety chains through Amazon, and delivered to my door it was $1,500.00. Other than having my neighbor help me lift the unit into the bed of my truck, I did the install all myself and removed the factory one too.

I decided on the Demco auto slide. Pricey but I've heard nothing but good things. I really wanted to go with the Anderson but apparently it voids the Montana warranty.

While not for me I honestly don't understand why it would damage the frame as it's doesn't seem that much different in geometry than a 5th wheel hitch. The Mortons use one and they beat the living sh*t out of their rig getting to crazy boondocking spots and I'm not aware of them having any problems with it.

Like the Twin Towers weren`t designed to withstand a plane flying into it , the Andersen isn`t designed to with stand an accident or abuse. People love to bash the Andersen but haven`t a clue what they`re talking about.
Crushed truck beds are every where I`ve seen many. The best was down at one of the Myrtle Beach mega camp grounds, I saw a brand new still with the temp tags on it a Dodge Dually with the bed crushed down from dropping the 5er (B&W hitch) made him look good in front of the wife didn`t it.
I`ll take the Andersen once it`s on the ball there is no mistake that it is on or off and apparently it can with stand an accident and stay connected ( no high Hitching). Here`s a story you might find interesting from another web site from a couple of years ago. Any body with the old an antiquated plate style hitch needs safety chains, Period, the chances of you doing something like this are great and I don`t want you to ruin my trip by loosing your camper and running into me. This guy was way more than just lucky and the people around him at 65 MPH were even more lucky. Just think of the law suits from this if it hadn`t turned out like it did. As follows......
We're both OK, but we were really shaken when our fiver separated from the hitch at 65mph on I-64 near Williamsburg VA Thursday morning. We have more than enough to be thankful and grateful for this year. When we all came to a halt, we were on the shoulder of the interstate, the trailer was completely separated from our TV. Our tailgate was destroyed, dragging behind and connected by only the small cable on one side. The fiver was about twenty-five feet behind us, aligned with us out of the roadway, but completely separated, resting on the retracted legs. The B&W Companion hitch was still locked with handle pin still secured and clipped; jaws fully and tightly closed. Both troopers who stopped by were amazed at the control I maintained (with the help of a strong guardian angel) to get the unit to the side of the road with no injuries (except for some sore muscles from the whiplash when it rammed back at the hitch when I began to slow and make my way to the shoulder. Here's a story we'll not forget from this Thanksgiving holiday.

Had a B&W now since 2009 with either the turnover base or the puck base using the same head unit. Great hitch for my needs plus can install or remove by myself in 10 minutes or less.
FWIW, almost all hitches today are fine though Lippert/Keystone say not to use the Anderson as it MAY void your warranty

I had the exact same truck. I used the Anderson aluminum hitch for almost two years. I loved it!! It only weighed 35lb and I was able to easily get in/out by myself and hang
It on the garage wall when not in use.
I just sold my truck and Montana 3741fk (purchased a home In Florida). I’m going to sell the hitch, lock bar, and safety chains for $500.
You will love the ease of hooking up, disconnecting, and the ease of storing it.

I bought a Pullrite Superlite 2600 2 years ago when I bought my 2020 Chevy Silverado 3500 and my Reese hitch wouldn’t work with the new puck system. It has worked great and hitching and unhitching is a breeze. Similar to the Anderson but made of steel and is extremely solid. It’s also about half the weight of the Reese and is much easier to get in and out of the truck bed.

Hitch
I did a lot of research. More than I care to really. I wanted a hitch I could move in and out easily, that did t weigh too much (65yo) but also wanted a flat plate and not a ball like the Anderson or the Pullrite. The Demco Recon seemed to fit the bill. It came in three pieces, the base, the stand and the hitch that the pin box goes into. Each piece I could pick up, the base being the heaviest, maybe 70 lbs. it installs on the center ball. Demco says they will have a four point hitch out for the Ram ( they currently have them for the Ford and the Chevy) in a couple or months at a cost of about $1400-1500. The cost of the Recon was about $800 and I did t want to wait. I haven’t Installed it or towed with it yet so I can’t tell you how it pulls. It’s rated for 21k and my truck can Pull 19+k so I think it will work.

The B&W roll over ball hitch with the Reese Goose Box is the only way to go.
