KIB electric water heater switch light problem
The light on the electric function for our water heater started blinking out then back on a few seconds later. I know it's a remote switch, so I don't want it turning the element off and on sporadically, so we stopped using that function. We changed out the anode rod and electric element and the water gets hot, but I'm hesitant to use the electric function, as the light keeps going on and off. Anyone else had this problem?

You would have to check with a meter, but more than likely it's just the indicator light in the switch that is on it's way out, but using a meter you could verify that power to WH was not being affected.

Probably the bulb, but without it you won't be able to tell if the electric side is working (must have 12v DC to energize a relay that puts 120v AC to the heating element).

on mine I can hear the relay energize. If the light is blinking have someone listen close to the water heater for the relay click. verify the click by turning the switch on and off then watch the light and verify click or not.

Some years ago, one of our switches on the panel started blinking, and the light it controlled stayed on just fine. Even though the switch wasn't listed on Trekwood, I contacted them and they were able to get me replacement switch. This was one of the red lighted switches. There is only a small LED in the switch. If it's not the LED failing, it could also be a loose wire at the back of the switch.

The original poster hasn't been back since they originally posted the question in 2017. Frustrating, but happens all the time when someone just disappears without ever saying whether the problem was ever solved or not.

Kib control panel electric hot water switch blinking
Last week the switch for electric side started blinking. Has never done this it's getting hot and when checked with meter has power continuously even while light is blinking. Blinking is random no certain pattern could the light in switch be bad. When switch is off there is no power to tank. All limit switches have ohmed out ok. At a loose to what it could be.

If you metered (or used an idiot light) to verify the current to the heater is steady when the light is blinking one can only conclude it it the switch. You could swap the switch for the propane side with the electric side switch to double check. This looks like a pretty standard switch any RV supplier should have

Thank you sir I did exactly that and so far she's staying on steady. Just ordered a new switch. That was a good idea swapping it with the propane switch
