Electric Awning on 2015 Montana-Adjustment

I went through all the papers that came with the Monty but could find nothing about adjusting the angle of the awning. I would like to have a little more down angle if possible. There is one knob on each support end. It looks like it can be loosened and then to let the rod slid in or out? Is this for adjusting the angle downward of the awning?

Thank
