2955RL Bedroom Door Latch Help!

I posted earlier about this. The latch on the bedroom doors is not working properly. Everytime we take the Monty out, we fine the steel latch not secured although we secure it each time. It is like the pin is not staying in the hole. I thought maybe that there was away to raise the bottom that the pin goes into. Does anyone have any ideas or help on this? We also have the plastic snap on the doors that has stayed snapped no problem. But if this should break and the other latch not holding I am afraid it would do some damage.
