Hitch part 2
Well at last we have the Monty back from our hitch problem, Here is the bottom line. After a dozen experts looked at every thing and hitched and unhithed the unit and made dozens of tight left turns it was agreed that the pin box and hitch were a poor engineering match. The hitch was a 16k Husky and the pin box what ever was used on a 3255. Several other 5ers with the same pin box were checked and every one had a scrap on the left under side. When the truck was driven up on a 2 inch block while turning left the pin box came in contact with the release handle sooner and would begin to bend it down. Turning the hanle upside down is a good idea as long as you don't have a dually. I'm 6 ft tall and can't get a good hold to pull the release without standing on something. They had to rebend the handle to come out straight, removing the up swing it had. All is well again in northern Mich.
