Metal Valve Stems

So we were returning home from the recent Western Spring Rally and our TST TPMS alerted us that we had lost air in the right rear tire. That thing is sure noisy!

We were able to get off the highway and safely remove the tire. No noticeable problem with the new tire, but it sure was flat!

We stopped in at the next BIG O and had it checked. They discovered that the rubber valve stem was toast.

I was aware of the notice in the TPMS documentation about using a metal valve stem, but chose to ignore it.....

DON'T IGNORE THEIR DOCUMENTATION!

We now have metal valve stems on all four wheels.

FYI - You should do the same....
